Lode Runner is one of those early games that seemed to get ported to just about every major platform in the eighties (and even some not so major), from the Apple II and the Commodore VIC-20 to the more popular computers like the Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum.
Even the BBC micro got a good port which makes it more surprising that the Electron never did.
Until 0xC0DE decided he needed a small diversion to keep him busy and so did a complete disassembly of the BBC version and set about making it Electron friendly.
Many hoops were jumped through in order to make the game run fast enough on the Electron but the final result is an excellent version of the game.
Featuring 160 levels, this should keep most of us busy for some time to come.
